IKEA Vattenkar Desk Drawers Gridfinity

Version 2 of my IKEA VATTENKAR desk drawers (v1: Printables · MakerWorld), rebuilt from scratch around Gridfinity.

My stands carry two stacked monitors, so the plywood sags in the middle. This set fixes the sag and gives every drawer an exact Gridfinity interior.

What's in it

• Drawers for both shelves: bottom shelf 60 mm tall, top shelf 48 mm tall. Interior is exactly 2 x 6 Gridfinity (84.5 x 252.5 mm). A 3 x 6 version (126.5 x 252.5 mm) is included too.

• Lite or heavy: lite = 1.6 mm walls, 0.8 mm floor, Gridfinity locators only at the grid crossings (about 30% less plastic). Heavy = 2 mm walls, 1.2 mm floor, full Gridfinity baseplate moulded into the floor.

• Gridfinity or plain floor, each with or without a label holder under the pull. The blank label card is 60 x 23 x 1 mm: add your text in the slicer.

• Sag supports: an upside-down T that slides in under the middle of the shelf. The front ramps up 4 mm over 25 mm, so pushing it in lifts the shelf. support_bottom_h68 is for the lower gap, support_top_h55 for the upper gap. My two stands measured differently, so measure yours at the curved ends first.

Print settings

• PLA, 0.2 mm layers, 2 walls, 15% infill, no supports

• 2x6 drawers are 256 mm long: place them diagonally (45°) on a 256 mm bed, with a 4 mm outer brim

• 3x6 drawers (130 mm wide) do not fit a 256 mm bed, even diagonally. They need a 300 mm bed.

• Textured PEI plate

• Bambu profiles included: bottom lite drawer 2 h 06 min / 104 g, top lite drawer 1 h 49 min / 88 g (P1P/P1S/X1)

Tested so far: lite and heavy 2x6 Gridfinity bottom drawers and the bottom-gap supports are printed and in use (fit is great; see photos). The top-shelf, plain and 3x6 drawers are new in this version and not printed yet.
