Running a 3D printer can be noisy, acoustic panels can mitigate that sound, alas the Deriku panels I purchased recommended double sided tape and I run my printer in a small coat closet and adhesive hates heat.
Enter the mounting brackets. With a rear base against the wall, it allows for more control of the tile while also buying a little wiggle room in installation (demonstrated by my unintended overlap with my shelf rail).
Each bracket is supported by a single screw, I used #4 x ¾ inch flat phillips head screws. I was unable to find them prepared in the color of my tiles / my brackets, so I painted the surface of the flat head white to blend in more. With a flat brush, painting a full box of 100 in a single sitting took a novice like me about 12-15 minutes while being extra cautious not to get blobs of paint in the head.
Recommend printing 100% infil. The difference in time and filament used per piece from 10% infil to 100% infil is not as significant as some other models, while gaining much needed long term rigidity.
There are 3 different variants of the model for corners intersecting at one, two, and three panels. Recommend that you draw out your plan prior to printing to establish a parts plan and make sure you know what kind of bracket you will need and how many.
