My carbon X gantry bought on Aliexpress isn't perfectly square on the inside, specially around the corners.
It's important that the inserts have a perfect fitting:
- too loose: risk of vibrations
- too tight: risk of damaging the gantry specially with termal expansion
This remix adds a more agressive chanfer to the inserts and 2 different models with looser tolerances than the original (each side of my carbon gantry was slightly different…)
Model A : 17.45mm x 17.45mm
Model B: 17.10mm (height) x 17.45mm (width)
