I didn't really like how the threaded rod for the z-axis on my brother's Ender 3 v2 is open and the uncovered, especially with it being moved around quite a bit. I wanted to make a cover for it to protect it from an accidental bumping. The models that I have seen to cover the z-axis seem to constrain the top of a rod with a ball bearing. My model keeps the threaded rod untouched, since overcontainment of the z-axis rod on both ends could lead to more wobble in the middle of the rod. This part of Alex Kenis' video shows the issue visually.

It does not interfere with any of the printer functions. I can go fully up to 250mm on the z-axis without touching the cover. The extruder visualizer is extremely close to the cover, so if printing to those heights, you may consider removing the visualizer. The cover attaches to the frame with T-nuts. I used these.
