After using up the filament on the spool, the spool itself is usually left empty and considered useless, often discarded.
However, this is one way to repurpose your empty spool for organizing various screws, nuts, and other small tools. The inserts I created from an empty Flashforge PLA Pro - 0.5kg spool are designed to rotate around a central axis and are divided into sections, making them ideal for storing screws and other small items.
Each section provides easy access, helping to keep everything organized and within reach, transforming an otherwise discarded item into a practical tool for your workspace.
I also inserted three small magnets (each side) with a diameter of 4mm and a thickness of 2mm, so that when it is closed it cannot be opened easily, and it works perfectly!
Of course the magnets are glued with super glue, as well as the holder with the axis.
