To maximize the contention of any eventual fumes I added a foam seal as a gasket in my enclosure (lid after installation had an approximately 5mm tall clearance)
This version of the lock is 4mm taller, with an (optional) 3mm washer to provide up to 7mm additional clearance for the lid
