Since all new Glocks usually come with their rear sights off center, I wanted a simple tool to be able to adjust the rear sight in both directions.
This tool will work for all 9mm Glock Pistols with a 25.5mm wide slide and a 6.1mm / 6.5mm tall GMS rear sight (works with plastic sights and should also work with GMS steel sights), so all G17, G19, G26, G34, G45, …
To check if your sights are GMS sights, just measure the notch in your rear sight, if it's 4.2mm wide, it's a GMS sight (they usually are the default sights from the factory).
The frame and the pusher have both a little slot to indicate the exact center for reference.
I made 2 different versions for the 6.1mm / 6.5mm pusher:
- default version to cut the thread into the plastic part (clean the hole with a ø5mm hand drill before cutting the thread)
- nut version where you insert a M6 nut on each side
Fot the frame, the ø6mm hole has to be cleaned with a ø6mm hand drill after printing (this is made on purpose to reduce the overall slop)
Necessary hardware:
- 1x M6x80mm hex head screw (M6x75mm will work as well)
- 2x M6 nut (4x for nut pusher version)
- 2x ø6,5 washer
The tolerances of the model are fairly tight on purpose, so please make sure your filament is dialed in and thoroughly dried.
I tested the models with Prusament PETG and Prusament PCCF, worked flawlessly with either filament, PLA should work as well.
Open the 3mf files as project, you only need to adjust your printer and your filament, everything else is set up and ready to go.
If you prefer just using the STL, here are the setting's I've been using succesfully:
- 0.2 IS Structural
- 10 bottom / 11 top layers
- 5 perimeters
- 15% Gyroid infill
