Included is a model for the extended eyepiece for 6X magnification as well as a model for the eyepiece cap that goes over the lens to hold it in place. Uses the same fasteners as the original eyepiece (M3 x 10 mm, or the slightly longer ones M3 x 12 mm)
This 6X magnification eyepiece uses a 38 mm diameter biconcave lens with 50 mm focal length. The same forward end lens is used as the original design which is a 50 mm diameter 300 mm focal length plano-convex lens.
This additional eyepiece was designed using open-source Optical Ray Tracing software and Fusion 360.
Also, a connector for a keyring intended for a lanyard was added to the adjustable locknut.
It works well enough when adjusted for the appropriate distance. Of course the field of view is narrower than the 4X magnification eyepiece.
