I lost one of the caps that cover the caster spindles on our Ztrak Z930M commercial mower. I had apparently injected an excessive amount of grease & that had pressurized the air under the cap. The pressure caused the cap to pop off while mowing.
These caps sell for about $4 each at the dealership or online. Not very pricey, but I drew up and printed a replacement for use until I could get around to buying a real one.
This part has to have a tight fit for retention. The model I printed was installed using a dead-blow hammer, handy for applying force with less risk of breakage. Once seated, it stays in place.
I printed in ASA for UV & temperature stability, using a 0.6mm nozzle & 0.3mm layer height.
Fusion 360 source & .STEP files are provided along with the .STL.
No supports needed for printing.
