This is a mount for the Tapo C120 camera that utilizes the pill-shaped hole on the top-right corner of the Bambu P1P printers. It acts as a complement to the built-in camera, providing much higher frame-rates.

IMPORTANT: This uses a “snap fit” design - PLA is NOT recommended as it is generally too brittle. Please use PETG or other slightly more flexible filament! Additionally, I do not take any responsibility for any damage caused by this. It works fine on my printer, and has been used by others for similar purposes, however.

Assembly

Step 1

Unscrew the bottom screw on the original camera mount/stand. It's a small torx screw (T6). Be careful not to lose the nut on the other end!

Step 2

Gently slide the camera “arm” out of the original mount. Remove (but keep!) the two black plastic washers from the original camera mount. Again - be careful not to lose the original screw, nut or washers - you'll need them!

Step 3

“Reverse” the process on the printed mount:

  1. Place one washer on each side. If they don't fit, you might need to remove some “hanging” filament with a knife/scalpel.

  2. While holding the washers gently in place, slide the camera “arm” around them.

  3. Put the nut back in on the camera “arm” and hold it in place with your finger.

  4. Put the screw in the oppose side, then tighten with screwdriver. It doesn't need to be super tight - holding the nut in place with your finger should provide enough resistance.

  5. Gently push the snap-fit into the matching “pill” hole on the printer.
