38mm Threaded Pool Fitting to 32mm Smooth Hose Adapter
This is a custom 3D printed adapter designed for use with above-ground pools like Polywave, Intex, Bestway, or Summer Waves. It features:
🔧 Features:
38mm male threaded fitting
Compatible with many standard pool return and suction ports
Tested to fit Polywave-style skimmer/pump returns
32mm smooth bore outlet
Perfect for use with 32mm Intex-style flexible pool hose
Smooth slip fit — secure with a hose clamp or cable tie
📐 Dimensions:
Threaded section OD: ~38mm
Hose smooth section ID: ~32mm
Through-hole bore: Fully open for water flow
🧵 Threads:
The thread profile was sourced from a working model and isn’t a defined BSP/NPT type — but it fits well with typical above-ground pool ports. Ideal for quick repairs, upgrades, or hose routing mods.
🖨 Print Settings:
Material: PETG or ASA recommended (UV/weather resistant)
PLA will work though.
Layer height: 0.2mm
Infill: 50–100% for strength
Supports: Not needed if printed upright with threads on top
Orientation: Print standing up (threads vertical)
💡 Tips:
Use Teflon tape/PTFE on the threads for a watertight seal
Add a hose clamp to secure the 32mm hose under pressure
Consider scaling the X/Y axis by -/+1% if your printer tends to over-extrude slightly — test fit recommended. I went with -0.5%
🛠 Use Cases:
Replacing a missing or broken return/suction fitting.
Adapting 38mm pool ports to 32mm Intex hoses
DIY filtration systems, heater bypasses, or vacuum lines
