These diffuser and shader caps are designed to reduce and direct light from ceiling mounted MR16, GU5.3 LED bulbs - perfect if your bulbs are too bright or scatter too much light. A great solution for balancing light levels without replacing your bulbs.

Originally created to tame slightly overpowered bulbs, these snap-fit accessories redirect or soften the beam as needed.

Included 4 models:

  • Diffuser (0.4mm, no hole) – provides light diffusion, white/transparent PETG recommended

  • Shader (0.4mm, 10mm hole) – open for central beam and shades on edges, black PETG recommended

  • Shader (0.4mm, 15mm hole) – open for central beam and shades on edges, black PETG recommended

  • Shader (0.4mm, 20mm hole) – open for central beam and shades on edges, black PETG recommended

You can adjust thickness in your slicer to fine-tune the brightness and diffusion to your taste.

It is recommended to use housing metal spring to keep bulb and diffuser secure inside.

Print & Material Notes:

  • Tested with PETG (recommended over PLA for heat resistance)

  • Works reliably with bulbs up to 4W, it may handle more, but not tested

  • Print on smooth PEI for less diffusion or textured PEI for more

  • You may also consider to use Transparent PETG for diffuser purpose if you want to avoid light intensity decrease even slightly

  • Designed to press-fit into the front of standard bulb housings

Happy printing—enjoy the perfect glow!
