Plastic spools seem to work better in the Polybox using the bottom rollers.  Cardboard spools seem to work better using the spindle tube.  If you're like me, you've lost your spindle the first time you've placed a plastic spool in the box.  After futile searching, I remembered I have a 3d printer, and my missing part is plastic, and I can find one on Printables.  After futily searching Printables I realized only the former statement is true, so I decided to put my (not at all) extensive CAD “skills” (they aren't) to use and fix that so when you lose yours too, Easy Print will solve the problem without having to fire up CAD.

This is a properly fitting replacement spindle tube for your Polybox in all its ribbed cylinder glory.

This is installed in a filament heat dryer. Do not print in PLA, the dryer exceeds PLA glass temp, and PLA creep will affect it with spool weight over time even under the temp. PETG should be fine, the Polydryer only heats to 70C and PETG glass temp is 75-85.  If you're using the dryer at speed 3 for higher temp filament often you may want to use ABS to avoid hot spots weakening PETG. Don't use a CF/GL filled filament as it will shred your spools, especially cardboard.

Other than material, print settings don't matter.  I printed the pictured sample on a Prusa MK4S using the .25 layer height on speed/draft setting which took about 40 minutes, because I needed it quickly and it works great.  Print vertically, no brim, no supports. Uses about 9g filament.
