I was recently tasked with developing a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system that uses linear filters in order to significantly reduce maintenance costs for the client. Traditional screw-on filters are considerably more expensive, even though their filtration principle is essentially the same as linear cartridges.

To address this, I designed a dedicated stand that makes it easy to mount and connect linear filters, store the unit neatly under a sink, and simplify future maintenance. The design prioritizes affordability by allowing the use of widely available, low-cost linear filters.

From a fabrication standpoint, the print is straightforward: it requires no supports and must be printed flat for optimal strength and accuracy (I would add more perimeters for strength and durability and would recommend using PETG). The mounting holes are sized for M4 bolts, consistent with the specifications outlined in the accompanying PDF. Please refer to that document for a full description of the system, including details on assembly, operation, and overall cost efficiency.

This solution is intended to make high-quality, filtered drinking water more accessible while avoiding the inflated costs of many off-the-shelf RO systems.

Happy printing!
