ESP32-S3 WROOM case/cover

This two-piece enclosure/case is designed to protect the development board against short circuits and mechanical damage. The enclosure has minimal dimensions – it fits the board very tightly. It is intended for a bare board (without headers), for use cases where the connection is via USB – e.g. as a camera, Wi-Fi unit, etc.

I designed the case for myself – mainly to protect the board from myself during development. I once managed to rip off the camera while unplugging the USB-C cable, and had to buy a new one – something I didn’t want to repeat. :-)

I printed the parts from PETG, but PLA, ABS, etc. can certainly be used as well. Layer height: 0.2 mm, no supports.

Update – only after publishing this model I noticed that there are already many other models for the ESP32-S3, and that they differ quite a lot between versions. This model is for the board described here: https://github.com/Freenove/Freenove_ESP32_S3_WROOM_Board

Update 2 - I've added a V2 model which has less protruding locking tabs (to prevent them from wanting to break during disassembly) and the camera hole is slightly shifted towards the center so that the camera's flat flex cable isn't strained.

Tento dvoudílný obal/krabička je určen pro ochranu vývojové desky před zkraty a před mechanickým poškozením. obal má minimální rozměry - velmi těsně obepíná desku modulu. Je určena pro holou desku (bez hřebenů) - pro případy připojení přes USB - jako kamera, wifi jednotka, ...

Krabičku jsem konstruoval pro sebe - pro ochranu desky přede mnou samým během vývoje. Už se mi totiž povedlo při odpojování USB-C kabelu utrhnout kamerku a musel jsem kupovat novou - a to už jsem nechtěl opakovat :-)

Díly jsem tiskl z PETG, ale určitě lze použít i PLA, ABS, ..., při výšce vrstvy 0,2 mm, bez podpěr.

Doplněno - až po zveřejnění modelu jsem si všiml, že je zde už mnoho jiných modelů pro ESP32-S3, a že ty mají hodně rozdílných verzí - tento model je pro desku popisovanou tady: https://github.com/Freenove/Freenove_ESP32_S3_WROOM_Board

Doplnění 2 - přidal jsem model V2, který má méně vystouplé záchytné packy (aby se při demontáži nechtěly lámat) a otvor pro kameru je mírně posunutý ke středu, aby plochý spoj kamery nebyl napnutý.
