Not many people know what a soprano trombone is nor will they ever need a stand for it. I do though and I thought no better way to make one then to pay homage to one of the best summers I ever had with the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle corps. I understand not everyone will have use for a trombone stand that is why I made this modular where you can design your own mount for anything you could think of with the screw on mount on top.
ADDED MATERIALS:
I bought m8 by 65mm double ended stud screws from Amazon and those worked great, here is the link.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Print orientations shown in the pictures. I suggest normal settings for all the parts besides the blade. I decreased the blades layer height by to .01mm to retain the edges fine details.
After printing, assembly is easy.
- Add your glue of choice (mine is superglue) to the hole at the top of the blade, then press in the handle and let it sit.
- Put your threaded m8 rod through the sword and add the bones onto each side, making sure that the bones have the longer nub at the end touching the ground.
- screw on your attachment of choice.
Happy printing! And if this is the first time you are learning about DCI go check it out on YouTube.
