The “OpenHeat Gateway – Smart EMS Integration for Maker” allows you to connect and read data from your gas boiler via the EMS bus.
It provides a simple way to integrate your heating system into a smart home environment (e.g. Home Assistant, MQTT, or custom IoT platforms). The project is based on an ESP32 and communicates through an EMS Interface Board (from BBQKees Electronics).
It captures temperature, status, and performance data from compatible boilers, making it accessible for automation, monitoring, or energy-efficiency analysis. This build is designed for makers who want full control and transparency over their heating systems.
