I'm currently learning to darn socks, and I saw it suggested somewhere to stretch the sock over a mason jar rather than use a darning mushroom. I liked this, but thought it could be improved by adding a light to the inside of the jar to more easily see the threads. A quick print proved me right. This print is designed to hold the components for a simple LED circuit with a switch and fit under the band and lid of a mason jar. It helps tremendously for its intended use, but could also be used to make lanterns or other projects.
I've only tested the small mouth size, but I've provided a large mouth size based on measurements found online. I've also included the f3d file so you can make adjustments for whatever jar you have.
To assemble, you'll need a 5mm LED, a vertical CR2032 battery holder,, CR232 battery, a small toggle switch (hole size for the switch is 7mm), and some wire. Assembly is fairly self explanatory - simply wire up a simple circuit using the switch and LED with CR2032 as the power source. You can use a dab of super glue/epoxy to fix the battery holder to the inside of the print. The LED should friction fit into the hole.
