🔹 Description
This is a 3D-printable toy crossbow pistol that uses a slide-cocking mechanism to arm the string. Racking the slide tensions the limbs and cams, making it easy to cock with one hand while keeping the mechanism compact and repeatable. The design is intended as a mechanical toy and maker project, not a weapon.
The model uses a mix of printed parts and common hardware. All fasteners are standard sizes and easy to source, and the design is fully serviceable for tuning or part replacement.
🔧 Required Hardware
5× #10-24 × 1" screws – body halves
3× #10-24 × 1/2" screws – trigger, latch carrier, cable retainer
2× 1/4"-20 × 3/4" screws – limb retainers
2× #8-32 × 1/2" screws – cam cable clamp
4× 604ZZ bearings – cam bearings
2× M4 × 35 mm machine screws – cam-to-limb attachment
2× pen springs – trigger return
Paracord - ends melted and flattened, clip into cams
Most of the imperial fasteners are included in the Harbor Freight 106-piece hex cap screw assortment.

🧵 Material Notes
Limbs should be printed in PETG. PETG has better compliance and yield behavior than PLA, meaning it flexes and recovers instead of snapping if over-drawn.
PLA is acceptable for the body and non-flexing parts.
clip large plastic fins from bolt, they were designed it to aid in printing.
This design is best suited for the included lightweight bolts and is intended for responsible, indoor or backyard use. As with any mechanical toy, supervise use and avoid aiming at people or animals.
