I was looking for a seat belt style buckle for a project I was working on and came across this one, https://www.printables.com/model/169703-seat-belt-buckle-fidget-toy-choose-your-style, and I really liked the clever mechanism, so I made my own similar model but made it more functional and compact. This uses much less filament to print, prints faster, requires no supports (if printed on the strategically placed bevels), and has a much more effective/functional mechanism. I have several different variations that include ways to mount with screws and other ideas that I'll add eventually, but this is just the base model.
The mechanism has a satisfying click and is quite strong. I will do some strength tests and update the description with the results.
