I was tired of my PETG mixing together with PLA with no proper way of telling which apart. Which led me to model a splitter to ease my suffering of not being able to recycle into new spools.

May conflict with Panda Breath Heater, I'll try my best to adapt the model to work simultaneously but I don't have one.

Suggested Material:
PETG will ensure long-term reliability
PLA is fine as long as you're not printing enclosed and at high temps, started to barely warp with 400+ hours of enclosed print time.

Installation:

  1. Remove original purge basket

  2. Home your U1 prior to adding parts avoiding any unaligned parts crashing into the bed.

  3. Install Hopper in place of original purge basket with numbers facing towards you

  4. Mount Basket-Base onto L notches inside at the back of the printer.

  5. Insert both Baskets into the Basket-Base.

  6. SLOWLY raise and lower your bed for a clearance check.

Having the baskets mounted at one point makes them quite unstable with the possibility of getting in the bed's way. The base alleviates this by sitting in both notches preventing rotations.

If you found this model helpful I'd appreciate any feedback for improvements or even a remix!
