The Heltec T114 Meshtastic Payload Module is a Meshtastic radio node case designed to be used with the Modular DJI Mavic 3 Attachment System. The case is designed to fit a Heltec T114 module with screen, matching GPS, battery, and antenna connector, as well as an optional on/off switch.

The 3d printed components are of the matching dovetail design that allows the module to mate with the aforementioned Mavic 3 Attachment System, and to be fixed in place with two or more M2 screws. However, the module itself is also perfectly functional as a low profile node that can sit on a desk or windowsill, or that fits nicely in a pocket for transportation when powered down with the antenna removed.

The components required to assemble a complete Heltec T114 Meshtastic Payload Module:

Assembly is relatively straightforward, though some soldering may be required depending on the length of your battery's included cable, and if you wish to add the optional power switch. At some point I will upload an assembly video, but for a seasoned MT user or someone with electronics experience, the below order of operations should be more than enough. (Remember: NEVER power on your MT device without an antenna attached!)

  1. Attach the GPS module to the Heltec T114.

  2. Attach the included power connector to the T114's battery connector near the USB-C port.

  3. If desired, splice the switch into the T114's power wiring.

  4. Attach the right angle antenna connector to the 3d printed lid with included washers and nut.

  5. Attach an antenna to the newly mounted SMA port on the lid.

  6. Attach the other end of the antenna connector to the T114's IPX port.

  7. Attach the battery wiring to the T114 (including the switch, if optionally chosen).

  8. Guide the USB-C port of the T114 into the matching hole of the base, with the screen facing up. the T114 should pop in and allow you the board to lay flat.

  9. Fold the GPS module back towards the T114, facing the ceramic antenna "up".

  10. Nestle the battery on the far end of the 3d printed case, opposite of the T114 module.

  11. Insert the buttons into the lid then snap the lid onto the base. Proceed with node setup, using either the on screen prompts or your paired device.

Print Instructions:

I recommend printing in materials such as PETG, as oriented in the STL file. Printing in contrasting colors also gives it a good visual kick.

I recommend between .1mm and .3mm layer height, 5% to 10% infill, and 2 to 3 wall perimeters for strength.
