Should be minimal if any holes remaining. My remote was having trouble staying completely flush on the bottom portion so there is a small gap. Also the screen was fighting the lasers so I just cut it and threw a decently flat plane on there.
Can open it up and scan the internals if desired but I figure the end goal is to fit other electronics so figure the mimicing the exterior shape was the main goal.
