Replacement for the original plastic guide rail segment on the vintage Festo ATF 55 circular saw series. This part sits in the base plate and slides into the guide rail groove, allowing you to eliminate lateral play and precisely adjust the saw on the rail using two set screws.
The original part is made of black plastic. Without it, the saw has noticeable slop on the rail, which ruins cut accuracy.
Material: I used PETG. Hard TPU might works as well? PLA might be too brittle.
Infill: around 20%
Perimeters/Walls: 3-4
Layer height: 0.2mm
Supports: None needed
Hardware needed for two guides:
4× M4 countersunk screws, length ~8–10mm
2× M4 hex nut
2× M4 screws, length 20mm
Note: This is NOT compatible with the newer Festool TS 55 series, which uses a different base plate geometry.
