Just a concept I came up with while looking for possible paint points designs that wouldn't laminate to the work table when spraying some cabinet doors.

The nesting ones I've tried tend to become unstackable after a few spray coats, or get stuck to the work table as the paint, coatings or lacquer dries often tearing apart as you go to pull them free.

I wanted them light yet strong while still minimizing filament usage.

Decided I would go with a design that could be placed on any face maximizing utilization, concave edges to minimize potential adhesion with a small footprint & narrow tips, open so the points wouldn't become caked & laminated easily from overspray.

Also wanted them easily strung together while having plenty of open area to grab them by.

They are readily scalable, this set is roughly 2 inch wide at the base by 1-5/8" tall by default.

I've printed them in both PLA & ABS so I can spray oil based and water base materials as needed.

I recommend using a different support material, printed well using organic tree supports that popped off easily.

Sorry, no commercial reproduction of this design, it has be IP submitted.
Free to print for personal use only.

I hope you like using them as much as I do.
