Medical and chemical labs use lateral flow tests to test for the presence of specific compounds in a sample. You may already experience with this type of common lab test in the form of a home pregnancy test. This cassette is a holder for the capillary test strip that is prepared when using these tests. Under normal circumstances, this would be a throw away component and the lab would order them by the thousand from a medical supply who have them injection molded. Doctors and lab technicians in austere conditions without instant access to consumable cassettes may find this device useful to print on demand. To use, simply print the top and bottom, then sandwich your capillary test strip in between the two halves.
