A 3D-printable microscopy model inspired by a stained specimen containing cocci, the term used for spherical bacterial cells.

The design uses raised, rounded forms to represent bacterial cells appearing individually and in small groups across a microscope-slide-style base. It offers a durable and tactile way to introduce bacterial morphology, staining and microscopic examination.

Possible uses include:

• Teaching coccal morphology
• Comparing cocci with bacilli and other bacterial shapes
• Introducing bacterial staining and microscopy
• Microbiology and biomedical science revision
• Classroom and laboratory displays
• Science exhibitions and outreach events

Please note: this is a simplified educational representation rather than an identification or diagnostic reference. Genuine specimens vary with the organisms present, sample preparation and staining technique.
