This can be useful if you want to:
store two laptops vertically above each other
temporarily place a second laptop on the stand
use otherwise unused space above your existing laptop
create a simple multi-device storage solution without replacing your current stand
The insert simply rests on the original stand and does not require any modification of the stand itself.
Printing
The model is intentionally simple and should be easy to print.
Recommended settings:
Material: PLA, PETG or similar
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 15–25%
Supports: Organic/Tree or No
Brim: may be required
PETG may be preferable if the insert will carry heavier laptops or be exposed to higher temperatures.
Optional anti-slip surface
For additional grip and to protect the laptop from scratches, you can add:
thin rubber pads
self-adhesive felt
TPU strips
anti-slip tape
to the top surface.
Important
Make sure that your laptop stand remains stable when using the insert, especially when placing two heavy laptops on it. The stability will depend on the dimensions and construction of the original stand.
