Combined with OpenDisplay, this makes for a nice and discreet display to scatter around your home!

Print instructions

All models are appropriately oriented in the .3mf file. The model was designed with a 0.4mm nozzle in mind so that's what I'd recommend. If you have trouble or succeed with other nozzle sizes, let other people know in the Makes section.

Pick one foot angle from the provided files or edit the FreeCAD source parameters table and export a custom.

All components have been carefully design to not require supports.

  • 2x foot: on their side (check the teardrop holes for orientation)

  • 1x front: on the face

  • 1x back: on the back

  • 1x internal: on the bottom

  • 4x push button extension: on their side

  • 1x switch extension: on its side

  • Soldering iron, with optional tip for threaded inserts

  • Screwdriver

Assembly instructions

The internal piece holds all 12 threaded inserts. Install 10 of them, the remaining 2 are optional. The PCB mounts on 4 holes but 2 diagonally opposite screws are enough to hold it securely.

Screw the PCB in place, push it to the left using the screws play. It's necessary for the ON/OFF switch extension to function properly.

Assemble the screen and its extension as shown. Metallic connectors must be on the same side as the visible portion of the screen.

Slide the screen in the internal holder. You may leave the protection on, slide it over the plastic hook at the bottom.

Gently push the flat flexible cable (FFC) through the storage compartment and push it back in so only the tip sticks out. Then plug the FFC in the PCB connector.

Battery (optional). Make sure the battery's polarity is the same as the PCB's. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is off. Plug it in the PCB's JST connector. Insert the battery in the compartment.

Insert the assembly in the front part and use 4 M2x4 screws to secure the front to the internal assembly.

Place the button and switch extensions in their compartments and cover with the back piece. Insert the M2x16 screws through the feet and secure the feet and back panel to the internal assembly. The feet may be assembled in either orientation.

The assembly is complete!
