I started breeding mealworm beetles and needed two drawers stacked on top of each other. The top drawer has a mesh floor: the beetles lay their eggs, and the eggs fall through into the bottom drawer. This keeps the adults away from the hatched larvae, because when food runs short, beetles can eat their own offspring.
I wanted a container that was compact but a bit taller than usual, and I couldn’t find one, so I designed it myself. I made it for my own use, but maybe someone else will find it useful too!
