Remix of Cowwolfe's “Simple tool hooks for the Printed Solid Enclosure” to work on a Printed Solid Next Gen Enclosure. These hooks take advantage of the lip created when the panels are mounted together and snap in place on the upper lip to hold your everyday tools for printing.

These were designed to work with my Printed Solid NEXT GEN SAFETY ENCLOSURE FOR PRUSA MINI

Remix Details:

I am still teaching myself to model in Fusion 360.  These were simple so I just redesigned them with the necessary changes for the Next Gen Enclosure.  I kept the same dimensions for the single and double hooks but made it thinner and rounded more edges.

The following have been remixed and are included in the files section:

  • Single Hook
  • Double Hook

I will do variations of the screwdriver holder in the not-too-distant future and will include them in this remix.

Print instructions:

  • I printed mine with Protopasta Back-to-basics Natural PLA
  • Print top down as defined in the 3MF files and as seen in the photos.
  • These models are designed to NOT require supports, but… the hooks have such small contact space, I occasionally had adhesion issues.  To resolve:
    • Use a brim
    • Use “supports on build plate only”
  • I used 3 perimeters when printing

Change Log:

  1. Posted initial Remix with Single and Double hook files - Version 1
  2. Added Updated Single and Double hook files - Version 1.1
    • Added Folders for the different versions
    • v1.1 doubles the thickness of the hooks.  With it being thicker I also added larger fillets to the hooks
  3. Updated models to include a slot for the enclosure bolt head.  This allows the entire lip to be used (helpful for the double nook.

Additional Notes:

  • Constructive feedback is welcome.  How can do improve the remix (tolerances too tight?), Suggestions for additions tools to hold?
