This is a case designed to attach to the Y-plate on the LowRider2 CNC. It fits to the 4 screws on the upper and lower corners of the Y-plate.
In this version i wanted only an empty case for cable management.
There are a lot of holes for gx16 connectors. Almost every side has them except on the upper side. I decided not to design them on the upper side because of dirt and dust flying around when the machine is running.
If you do not need all of the gx16 holes then you can use the cap which i added to the print files.
On the case cover there are holes prepared for a 120mm and 80mm ventilator. If used only for cable management then no ventilator is needed.
I will upload some original pictures later.
At least this is the version which i use on my LowRider2 because i put the board into an external control box. And for flexibility i can disconnect the external box without touching any cabeling on the LowRider2.
Print instructions
I printed all this files in PETG at a layer height of 0.3mm with a 0.4mm nozzle on a Prusa i3MK3s printer. No brim and no skirt because the size of the case.
The case is almost 250mm in size. So you have to watch out for the print bed temperature because of warping.
I think printing in PLA is also working fine so the probability of warping would be much lower.
The .gcode file is sliced with Prusa Slicer and Generic PETG filament. 4 perimeter and 3 layer at top and bottom.
