LED Printer Status Beacon Light
Printing Instructions
- light_diffusor.stl
- Print in vase mode. White or clear Filament should work.
- LED_clamp.stl:
- optional. Only needed, if the LED-Strips you use have no adhesive on them, or if the strips come loose anyway.
- main_body.stl:
- supports needed. I recommend Tree Supports, only touching buildplate.
- the other parts should be rather easy to print with no special settings and do usually not require supports.
Hardware
For assemply you will need:
- 8 to 11 M3 x 5 countersunk-head screws (3 extra for the LED clamps)
- 1 T-Nut that fits the extrusion you want to put the Light on
- 1 Screw (preferably flathead) to fit the T-Nut
Electronics
- A total of 12 NeoPixel LEDs (2 LED-Strips with 6 LEDs each)
- Some wires and insulation
- Connectors to crimp on the ends (Dupont Conbnectors for RaspBerry Pi)
