This organizer was made to store perfume sample vials in the lovely Japanese Toolbox Inspired - Locking Lid Box by Handy Handcrafts - but it can be customized to any box you'd like it to fit!
The default vial slots are 8.3mm for small vials, and 12.3 mm for large vials. The organizer sits just high enough that a tag-like label can be wrapped around the bottle and tucked into the hole.
Included STLs
Included are flat and standoff-raised inserts for a scaled version of the tool box - double check your box scale! Mine was printed at 110% X, 134.75% Y, and 134.75% Z scale to fit the vials in question.
Customization
To run the SCAD file, you will need the BOSL library installed.
Here are the parameters you can adjust easily using the OpenSCAD Customizer:
- Box dimensions: the inner dimensions and fillet radius.
- Insert plate thickness
- Small and Large hole diameters
- Spacing between holes for each type
- Patterns for all small holes, all large holes, and a mix are available.
After that - feel free to adjust the code! In particular, standoff placement is finicky per use case and box size. You will want to adjust their location and rotation to fit your needs.
