Print two identical shells (there are four different lengths available) to repair your lightning connector. Before put both parts together use some silicone to fill this inside the two parts. Afterwards put your connector with both parts together and fix it for several hours until silicone will be hardened. Remove residuals outside by using a knife. That‘s all.
Enjoy your lightning connector for a long time again.
Remark: Recommended to repair cables where only the outer insulation is damaged. The trumpet-shared recess at the end of the two shells was intended to protect the cable from further damage due to kinking. Therefore, if possible, this area should not be filled with silicone.
