Update:- Version 2 now in place.
Floating barrel pouring waste.
Simple design based on the many cups pouring coffee out there. I had some glow in the dark filament and figured I would go for something different.
Steep angle of the barrel allows for better stability. I created a simple clip design to hold the barrel in place on the liquid when displayed. Place the liquid portion in the barrel. then put the clip in the opening keeping the flat side against the liquid and push it in as far back as you can to secure the barrel and fluid together.
For anyone considering a smaller print size on an FDM printer? Reducing it down to 60 percent for all parts still produces excellent results. Any less and the strength of the fluid flow will likely become questionable.
Printing Instructions
Print the liquid in the orientation it stands. Use supports (I used tree supports for my tests).
Barrel prints in the obvious orientation of the closed base on the bed.
print the clip flat on the bed surface.
