I do electronic projects for my smart home regularly. This time I'm sharing it with the public.
This is a complete project including the schematics, layout for breadboard and a sample code for home-assistant with esp-home.
The box consumes 0.7W when idle, and 1.2 Watt when the relays is turned on. The dimensions of the case are 64x54x24mm.
You will need the following material when you build this project:
- ESP-01 (ESP8266)

- Regulator to reduce 5V to 3.3V e.g. https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09RWNLB2F?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
- One Transistor BC 548C
- One Diode 1N4004 or similar
- One Resistor with 1k
- A Fuse with Fuse-Holder for print mounting
- 2x4 pin sockets for the ESP
- 3 pin screw terminal e.g. https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B087RN8FDZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
- 2 pieces of M2x4 screws to mount the print in the case
- 2 pieces of Spax wood screws 3x16mm to mount the cover on the case
I removed the power supply LED of the power supply module to reduce the standby power, as well as the LED of the ESP-01 Module. All the elements are soldered on a breadboard (see pictures for more details).
