Ergonomic handle designed to help with hand pain on long painting sessions. Gives you secure grip of the airbrush even when holding very gently. Works also for people with hand mobility problems to help with a grip.
Handle has quick release lock that you pull through the airbrush and rotate after putting airbrush thread part through the handle hole and aligning the lock with it's cavity. Make sure you press airbrush fully in so that there is no gap before rotating the lock.
Handle is supposed to be held gently so than you are using minimal muscles as possible to reduce strain. Index finger on a trigger just as you would without a handle.
Handle should be compatible with all Iwata Eclipse models, but this has only been confirmed with the models listed below. (I will update the list as people report new models.)
Confirmed to work with:
- Eclipse HP-CS
- Eclipse HP-BS
It has also been reported to work relatively good with these non-Iwata brushes:
- Badger Patriot 105
- H&S Evolution
Printing Tips:
Lock has tight tolerances so clean it and it's cavity carefully from residues after the print and first install it into the handle few times without an airbrush to make sure it does not get stuck. At first it might seem too tight, but it will get quickly better after operating it several times.
There is right- and left-handed version of the lock and the handle.
Recommended print settings:
Handle:
- Supports ON with 25° overhang threshold
- 3 vertical shells
- 20% infill
Lock:
-Supports OFF
-3 vertical shells
- 100% infill
You can show your support to the project by liking it and posting a make. Especially post a photo if you try this with a model not yet comfirmed to be compatible, so we can add it on the list :)
