This is an adjustable block or bench dog that woks as a vice. The idea is to get more grip when working on wood pieces that can't be easily hold in place in other way.
It requires additional hardware:
1x M8 (or 5/16) bolt - preferable 100mm (3.94 in) or longer.
2x (optional) Self-locking Nuts M8 (or 5/16) for the handle locking (optional) and for the ball locking.
1x (optional 3x) Nuts M8 (or 5/16) for the main body, for the handle locking (if you use the handle) and for the ball locking (optional if you don't want to use Self-locking Nut).
The handle is optional. If you don't have the space for the handle, then you can use a ratchet.
There are two options for the main body - low and high. The low places the part that presses the work piece as close to the bench as possible (suitable for thin workpieces), while the other version places it 4mm higher (suitable for thicker working pieces).
Works with 20mm holes in the workbench - Update: there is now an option for 3/4. I am willing to remix it for other sizes - just let me know in the comments what size you need.
Use any material you like, but keep in mind that it has to be strong (recommended minimum is PETG). No need for supports.
