This scanner is designed to be used with an LED light and its corresponding reflector (Bowens style), for example, with this reflector: [https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1472764-REG/godox_ad_r12_long_focus_reflector_for.html](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1472764-REG/godox_ad_r12_long_focus_reflector_for.html) or with any other reflector that is approximately 15 cm in diameter.

The scanner is composed of the following parts:

- **Reflector Attachment:** This is the part that should be attached to the reflector, as shown in the images.
- **Scanner Attachment:** This is the part that should be placed in the square hole of the reflector attachment (I designed this attachment to allow for a 120mm negatives version later on).
- **Negative Holder Base:** This should be glued to the scanner attachment using any plastic adhesive (gluing it is not 100% necessary, but it will make it easier to use).
- **Negative Holder Cover:** This piece attaches to the negative holder base; the negatives will pass between these two pieces. I recommend adding two strips of cloth (I used the ones found inside 35mm film canisters) to press down on the negatives without damaging them.

You can place the negative on the holder base and then attach the cover, or you can assemble everything and then try to insert the negatives. I use the first option.

All that’s left is to use a camera to photograph the negatives, and you're done. (I use a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Macro lens).
