Bicycle grip adapter for Thrustmaster TH8A shifter

This adapter allows you to attach your favorite bicycle grip as a shifter knob to the Thrustmaster TH8A shifter.

When I was playing a WRC simulator, I found myself wanting a stick-shaped shift knob like those in rally cars. Since I had some spare bicycle grips, I decided to create an adapter that would allow me to attach one to my setup.

Bicycle grips provide excellent grip and are non-slip. They also come in a variety of designs, allowing you to choose and attach one that suits your preference.

This adapter is compatible with standard grips fot Φ22.2mm handlebar. I used a grip with a single lock-on clamp. Length is 130mm, but since the clamping position can be adjusted, slight differences in length are not an issue.

PRINT SETTING

I printed it with the following settings and confirmed that it is functional. However, I recommend printing with a stronger setup for better durability.

• PETG filament - ELEGOO RAPID PETG
• 3 perimeters
• Grid infill at 10%
• No support

The model has M9x1.25 threaded holes, and to balance print time and thread quality, variable layer height is used. When attaching it to the shifter shaft, it was tight, so I applied silicone oil before assembling. Please be cautious, as forcing the threads can cause damage.

このアダプターを使用すると、スラストマスターのTH8Aシフターに自転車用のグリップが取り付けられるようになります。

WRCのシムをプレイしているとき、ラリーカーのような棒状のシフトノブにしたいと思い、何か使える物がないかと考えていたら、使わなくなったグリップがそこに転がっていました。自転車が趣味の人なら分かると思いますが、グリップは結構交換する頻度が多いんです。不用品の再利用も兼ねて使ってみることにしました。

一般的な22.2mm用のグリップが取り付けられるようになっています。位置の調整がきくのでロックオンタイプのものが使いやすいと思います。長さは手元のグリップに合わせて130mmにしましたが、多少違っていても問題無く使えるかと。

プリント設定は上記の通りです。アップしたプリントプロファイルは自分がプリントものより少し強度があるでしょうが、もし使ってみて破損するようなら壁面層数を増やすなり、適宜強度を増した設定にしてください。

モデルにはシフターのシャフトに合うM9x1.25のネジを作ってあります。そのままではややきついかもしれないので私は組みやすくするためにネジ穴の中にシリコンスプレーを吹いてからねじ込みました。当然ですがあまり強く締めると壊れます。

実際にドライブしてみたところ結構フィーリングは良かったです。PETGなのでほんの少ししなる感触はありますがプレイ中は全く気になりません。
