This model consists of a pair of ball mounts that are sized for 3mm hardware. You can choose between 2 versions of the ball, one that will take a hex nut inside so you can attach it with a 3mm screw, and the other that will take a 3mm screw inside so you can attach it with a nut. The clamp and thumbscrew knob also use 3mm hardware. The thumbscrew requires a 3mm square nut to lock the screw in place.
You can use this to design your own mounting system to attach the ball studs to a phone or GPS mount, or any other small electronics or devices. I designed it to mount a small thermometer to my ATV. you could also use this as a camera mount as well.
It's best to print using a durable, UV-resistant filament for outdoor use. At minimum, use black PETG, but ASA would be better. Even better if you can print with fiber reinforced filaments.
I used 25% gyroid infill with 5 perimeters, top, and bottom layers.
