PrusaWIRE XL StealthChanger and Prusa XL VINDX Hotend Toolchanger

PrusaWIRE XL StealthChanger is currently under active development. Throughout the design process, numerous concepts and engineering solutions have been explored, allowing the project to evolve significantly and take on a new direction.

The project is currently being developed in two versions:

• PrusaWIRE XL StealthChanger – the primary version, focused on the continued development and refinement of the existing StealthChanger system.

• Prusa XL VINDX Hotend ToolChanger – a new version featuring an automatic hotend-changing system inspired by the INDX concept and adapted specifically for the PrusaWIRE XL architecture.

The project will continue to receive regular updates in the near future. Planned improvements include further development of the StealthChanger mechanism, enhanced mechanical design, increased reliability, and improved ease of use.

At the same time, development is underway on a new Hotend ToolChanger system that will automatically exchange only the hotend while keeping the moving mass to a minimum. This approach aims to provide greater flexibility and unlock new possibilities for multi-material and multi-color 3D printing.

This is only the beginning of the project's journey. Many more engineering innovations, experiments, and improvements are planned as the project continues to evolve.

At the moment, the project is in the development stage and is gradually being supplemented with models.

Ideally, the threads of the thermal barrier should be shortened slightly so that the entire thread fits into the heating block of the hotend.
