Folding Modular Keyboard Riser

A filament-friendly, folding, modular keyboard riser designed to give your keyboard a little more angle without being permanently built into the keyboard.

I originally designed this after breaking the folding leg on my Logitech G213 keyboard. Rather than simply recreate the original leg, I decided to make a folding riser that could be attached to other keyboards as well.

The riser attaches underneath the keyboard with adhesive and folds against the keyboard when not in use. This makes it easier to transport your keyboard without having to remove and keep track of separate riser feet, while also keeping the added bulk to a minimum.

The design is not limited to Logitech keyboards. The photos show the riser attached to my side keypad as another example of how the design can be adapted to different keyboards and input devices.

Why I made it:
I broke one of the folding legs on my Logitech G213 and needed a replacement. Instead of reproducing the original part, I decided to redesign it as a folding, modular riser that could be used with other keyboards and keypads as well.

Assembly

The riser uses a simple snap-fit assembly with no additional hardware required.

The tolerances are intentionally forgiving and the parts should snap together with relatively little force. Adhesive is required to attach the completed riser to the underside of the keyboard.

I used 3M VHB tape for the examples shown in the photos.

The model was designed with FDM printing in mind and has been tested using the settings above.
