I have a workbench in my shop that I built using 4x4 posts as the legs. I don't like how when I move the workbench around it scratches the painted concrete floors and chips the lumber, so I decided to design some quick covers that fit tightly to the feet of the table and secure with 2 T25 decking screws to each foot. Now the table slides across the floor without damaging the floor or the workbench.

Print in whatever material you prefer, I used ABS because I had it on hand and it's pretty tough, but PLA will work, TPU would be nice if you want non-slip or vibration absorbent feet I guess. These print extremely easily and don't require any support. Just make sure you're pretty decently tuned because I sized the legs to fit snug with only 0.3mm of total allowance. Screw holes on the bottom are countersunk and the hole for the shaft is 4mm wide which will allow the solid shaft to pass through but the screw threads will cut their way through, this is to keep the fit snug and center the screw in the bore. The screw head should sit about 1mm deep in the hole so it wont drag on your floor.

If you print this model, please support me by leaving a like, a comment, and/or a make if you can. I read all of them and will take any critiques you have into account and will release a remodel if I find they have merit.

I am also including an F3D file and a STEP file for anyone who would like to remix this for their own specific use case.

Recommended settings:

0.4mm nozzle

0.2mm layer height

25% Infill (I used Gyroid)

3 Tops/5 Bottoms (For Abrasion Resistance)

4 Walls

Whatever top/bottom pattern you prefer (I used concentric)

No brims/rafts

No support

As always, happy making!
