This is a modification of thing "Rattlesnake Rattle" by trishabelly thing 70991. I had a bunch of problems printing the original because some of the parts were floating above the bed. Split is the original cut in half and the two parts…
I got tired of loose line. This simple F360 design has parameters for spool inner diameter and height so you can print to fit whatever size you have. I use retainer width of 0.6mm for 0.3 print layer and print in vase mode so it's really…
These parts are used to implement a spindle encoder on a 9x20 lathe using an Omron e6b2 encoder. This is useful if you are using a CNC conversion of the lathe. The LatheSpindleGT2 print replaces both the spindle gear and spacer. (assumes…
I picked up a used BeaverTail Stealth 2000 boat off Craigslist. The custom blind is a $400 option and I figured I could print some bimini type brackets and bend some conduit and come up with something similar. Brackets should be useful…
A big windstorm blew off several post caps from my outside decking. Some were lost, others were damaged, basically I was short 6 post caps at $12/cap. I spent a little time in F360 to come up with this replacement cap. This is designed to…
Embroidery hoops that I attach to an xy table for embroidery experiments with an old sewing machine. Instructions Embroidery hoops that can be attached to an xy table to embroider designs with a sewing machine. I used and old Singer. It…
Newer knockdown sock decoys have a pivot which allows them to fold up for easier storage and transport. (see photos of Dive Bomb Snow goose decoys) I had some older Deadly Decoy Canada goose decoys that I decided to update. This was my…
We had some broken frames around the house which needed repair. I saw a similar clamping system and decided it would be an easy print. This design works and I don't intend to update. If I was starting over, I would consider designing the…
This design was inspired by Andy Pugh's videos: I am making my own tips with a 4mm thread and 3mm tip following: In my design, I added adjustment screws to the center hub for aligning concentricity of the tip. I like to 3d print designs…
The GM ignition switch on my RV has a chrome right that is difficult to grasp and tighten. I designed this tool with some lugs to make the job easier. If I had to do it again, I would make the holes larger for fingers or put a square 1/2"…
New-to-me Rockwell vertical milling machine came without a knee crank. Quick design and 3D print of a crank arm and a modified bicycle pedal to the rescue. Print Settings Printer: Jerry's MakerSlide Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: High for…
Last weekend, we had a canoe sliding around on my friend's kayak/canoe trailer. It's a really nice setup with 1 1/4" aluminum tubes but the two canoes on the top had a tendency to slide to the sides. These brackets slip on the horizontal…
I have been pondering how to attach a spindle encoder to my milling machine for rigid tapping. Older vertical mills with pulleys and quills with drawbars pose a problem as there isn't much space or a good place to add an encoder. My…
The tripod mount was getting tipped over and was difficult to precisely locate and rotate, so I printed out an adapter that grips the tripod tube (minus the tripod legs) and mounts to a ThorLabs PR01/M rotation stage. I included the F360…
I was doing an over haul of my Blue Ox towbar. (used to tow a vehicle behind a RV) There are four plastic plugs that prevent dirt/water from entering the tow bar arms. The original plug was a square going into a trapezoid mounted on a…
The factory original plastic engine cover guide cracked (after 20 years of use). I made a few measurements and created a simple design with OpenScad. I printed in red ABS to match the boat. Boat is a CorrectCraft Ski Nautique but other…
Eight years ago, I posted by first design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27043 which was a rack stop for a square tube. At that time, I was using sketchup and ABS. I remember it was quite the hassle to design and get the first layer to…
There are several diy board designs for adding an ethernet connection to DSO2000/3000 series oscilloscopes. One such board is available from OSHPark. This design attaches to the OSHPark board to guide and hold it in position. There is an…
Print for strength. I used 0.3mm layers with PolyCarbonate. Just about any filament should work, stronger == better.
I had some porch railings that were treated 2x4s that did not hold paint well. I slipped composite covers over the bottom posts and designed clips to attach to the porch and a custom post cover. I designed a drill guide for drilling…
This is a design for an arbor to hold a cupped grinding wheel in my mill or lathe. This is an example of how a 3D design can be printed to mock up design dimensions. DO NOT USE A 3D PRINTED ARBOR FOR GRINDING (or even spinning). A quick…
I needed to hold a thin walled 1.25" tube in my old lathe with a L00 spindle nose and internal MT4.5 taper. I designed an emergency collet that holds the tube and is compressed by the modified L00 nose protector. I printed in PETG for…
I lost my support to hold the Avian-X turkey decoy in the field. So I decided to update with a 3d printed bearing support mounted to a 1/2"x3/4" wooden stake. The print simple hold the bearings and inserts into the decoy. I applied a…
Simple replacement part to fix a humming bird feeder base. Photo shows original broken base on right, new printed replacement on left. I included F360 file if you need to modify design.
