The design I have created uses a 123 block as a reference surface and dial indicator.

Parts List:

13mm OD shaft with a length of 150mm (Can be made on a Lathe from 304L stainless) I have machined mine to be 13.05mm all through it's length.
M6X1.0 Hex bolt 30mm long or similar.
M6X1.0 Allen Key bolt 30mm long or similar.
3X M6X1.0 nuts

Assembly:

Press fit the shaft into the base, you can use a hammer as well while taking care not to damage the shaft.

There will be three M6 Nuts and one of them will be inserted inside the dial indicator mount so that the adjusting screw can push onto the shaft and lock it in place.

Place a 123 block and fasten your dial indicator onto the mount then make sure that the indicator's shank is square to the 123 block.

If you have any issues please feel free to let me know how I can help.
