This battery adapter lets you make a powerful worklight with your Metabo 18V tool batteries.
You need:
Suitable LED Light
Small spring, ca. 5mm diameter, 10-15mm length.
5x M3x16mm screws for Case
1x M3x25mm screw for Lever
Toggle switch with M12 thread. (12,5mm hole)
2x 6,3mm crimp wire connectors as shown in pictures.
There's a hole for an M8 bolt so you can put any kind of truck, tractor or automotive light on top of it. Of course, you can also use this adapter to take power from your Metabo batteries.
There is enough space to put in a regular toggle switch as well as a simple over discharge protection circuit or some other small electronics, if needed.
Print as shown in the pictures with supports on bed enabled. For best rigidity, print with 4-5 perimeters. Is very robust if printed with ASA, ABS or PETG.
WARNING: Metabo 18V batteries DO NOT have an over discharge protection!
If you drain the battery completely, you will kill it. Use an LED floodlight that shuts down at 15-16 volts or shut the light off if the battery indicater only has one bar left. Suggested lowest Cut-off Voltage is 15V.
