The AIT + 40MAX Lightning Mag Extender is a 3D-printed add-on designed to increase the capacity of the ten-round magazine included with the AIT + 40MAX Lightning Brushless Flywheel Blaster. Featuring a continued follower channel and utilizing the constant-force spring included with the magazine, this part allows the mag to accommodate up to 20 rounds without compromising the rate of fire or feed reliability.
The original file from AIT’s public Google Drive folder had no bottom and included countersunk screw holes for securing the extender to the mag itself. After extensive testing at Out of Darts, we found that screws were not necessary to keep the extender in place. Additionally, adding a bottom to the magazine extender kept the mag follower clean and less likely to become dislodged or misaligned.
