This is a fully open-source 3D model for a cable organizer designed to hold USB, HDMI, and other general-purpose cables neatly on walls, desks, or similar surfaces.

The organizer consists of repeated "drop-shaped" clips that guide and secure cables in place, keeping them from tangling or falling. It features:

  • Adjustable number of cable slots (n) and spacing (pitch) to fit different setups.

  • Triangular drop-shaped holders that provide a secure grip without pinching cables.

  • Optional screw holes for mounting on walls or boards.

  • Fully parametric design in OpenSCAD, allowing customization of drop size, spacing, object height, and hole placement.

  • High-resolution arcs for smooth shapes and accurate 3D printing.

Key Features:

  • OpenSCAD source code is completely open for modification.

  • Parametric design ensures it can be adapted for different cable types or installation scenarios.

  • Minimal material usage with hollow drop shapes, optimized for 3D printing.

  • Easy to mount using screws, adhesive, or zip-ties.

Use Case:

Ideal for home, office, or entertainment setups where multiple cables need organization, preventing clutter and tangling. Works for USB, HDMI, audio, and power cables.

Recommended Print Settings

  • Filament: PETG or slightly flexible filament (PLA not tested, may work but may not last because of the flex on the material).

  • Nozzle diameter: 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, or 1 mm (adjust layer height accordingly).

  • Infill: Not really used, its only the shell with minimal material (20 slots uses less then 20g of filament).

  • Supports: Not required.

  • Print orientation: Already in the correct orientation, but you are free to try others.
